I purchased the lens off of ebay as part of a package and the lens came to me pretty used. Also, a trim piece was cracked. Doesn't effect functionality but it's there.
The good news is the lens works great for super macro work. I have read that at 35mm it's like 1:0.8 and at 80mm it's about 1:1.7 magnification. The working distance is very close (a few inches).
Also, I am including an LED light strip (temperature of the light is pretty warm). I attach the strip with a rubber band to the lens and it works good. It takes 8 AA batteries to power it.
