Lens: Nikon 300 f/4 D USA version
Price: $1150 shipped to CONUS + Canada, fees on you though.
Includes box, papers, softcase, original collar and mount.
Included on the lens is a Kirk NC-300 lens collar ($159.95 at B&H or Adorama) for a much improved performance over the original Nikon collar. You would not want this lens without it, trust me.
Lens is mint: hood is flawless, body is flawless and so is the glass. No noise from the focusing motor and it's impressively sharp.
I picked this up from FM's own incredible Mr. Holmes and only used it a couple times, shooting some planes one day with the 1.7tc. It's range is just not in my shooting style so I'm selling to fund a different lens or a Kiev . It's a great lens though and I'm sure as soon as I drop off it at the post office, a bald eagle will land on my car and I'll want that lens.
Will ship same day as payment, USPS (Canadapost for Canada) unless you tell me otherwise, includes insurance and tracking.
You might get more interest if you edit the title to reflect that it's an AF-S model. The older version typically sells for much less, so maybe there's some confusion.
Thanks primehifi...really looking forward to this 300AFS...now just need to wait for the eagles to land in the trees...don't want their(!) poop on the car!
and James yes that's exactly what I'm thinking too...this with a D7000 should be a nice long reasonable priced set up...hopefully the D7000 will keep up with the lens!
Yeah I can almost guarantee that next summer I'll end up with a d7000/d90 for the missus, we'll go to the bird sanctuary and I'll want this lens again lol.
