Thanks! The last one was taken into Silver Efex Pro and I used one of the "Film Noir" presets. It's basically curves, vignette and some grain/clarity.

I'm finding straight out of camera IR needs some contrast adjustments to make a good B&W image. I've set the D700 to monochrome with contrasts maxed and it's giving me a good result so far.

Funny you mention that, since that was the exact reason I set the red filter on before taking the shots. I was wondering if anyone would pick up on it.

No wonder that one can't keep up with you guys!
Some 120 post have been added to this thread in the last 12 hours or so.

I love seeing your photo's and I try to keep track of what is written as well.
Of course I'm especially interested what Curtis is up to with regarding to the kit he wants to bring to the Netherlands and Turkey.
I'll be there too, so we can complement each other's kit. I'm thinking of bringing the 28 or the 35 in any case. I got a TC-201, so I will likely not bring the 180mm (that is on it's way from Germany), I don't have an 85, but the 105 (either the 2.5 or the 1.8) will be nice, and I might take a zoom, either the 25-50 or the 50-135.
I will carry them myself...

So Rinie posts at the beginning of her day and Gregory posts at the end of his. This is a thread that keeps going day and night with contributors from around the world. Granted, Dean, Chin, Mihai and the rest of our European crew are in the minority so things don't really get hopping around here until the crew from the East coast wakes up. The West coast crew is heading for bed.

Hope you're well Gregory and whatever you're up to is keeping you engaged and interested. And Rinie, I've no doubt we'll bring exactly the gear we need to take some great shots next spring. Until then I'll just keep experimenting.

Monty, Nice shot of Harvey.

Harry - Like the series, the second one the best.

Ryan - What a lens! I'd be so afraid of scratching that front element. I'm with Brad, the last one is a killer. REALLY REALLY like the first shot in the second series.

Ray - Who says those Turkeys are safe?

That 100-300 looks like and interesting lens. Isn't that thing like 3 feet long?

As I wrote earlier, the point of which seems to have been missed, is that these are really appropriate subjects for isolation from the background which is delightfully out of focus. Presumably the focal point is the objective of the picture though and the "bokeh" is a bonus?
