Took the 55mm f1.2 and the 135mm f2.8 for a spin tonight before sunset. First time I used the Nikkor Q 135mm on full frame since the early 1990s. Something is wrong with the mount on it - real tight, and when removing, it tends to go past the spot all other lenses stop and release. Not sure what that is, but I have to be very careful with this one. It's a beauty, though - made in 1971, I think.

I love this set. There is something about the 135Q that I love over most of the other 135's out there. The colors and contrast, I feel, are superb. Lens handling is top notch too, built like a precision tank. My copy is well used, but I think it creates the sharpest images I can create with my kit. It's tough to use on my D7000, dot conformation has too much play unless its on a tube.
Nice sets with the ole Q. What does your serial start with? Mine is an early 71 also I believe.
Oh! Almost forgot. Nothing wrong with your mount. Mine is tight also and appears to go farther to remove too. I tried a mint sample at the LCS (local camera shop) and it was tight and "off" too.
