Just a little fun contribution to keep the thread moving along.
This is a simple North Pole village that my wife and I have been putting up for years. This shot with the Zf using the tilt/shift F to Z adapter and the Noct. Shot at f/1.2 with lens swing applied to adjust the focal plane.
I posted a question in the Z5II thread but I thought I might get more and better responses here. So I'll post it here too, if you please. I guess it could apply to any Nikon Z model, or any other mirrorless camera for that matter.
Lately I've been reading about the benefits and shortfalls of different shutter types, mechanical, electronic, or EFCS. What I've read makes sense though I've never had reason to observe the differences, let alone test them.
My Z5-II uses EFCS by default mostly. However it can be made to use just mechanical, or by selecting Silent Mode use just electronic. So I could force a selection but I'd have to think of it when I'm setting up a shot, have a reason to do so, and go through the trouble of running through the menus.
So I'm curious whether any of you bother, or just use the default in most situations. It would seem to depend on what kind of shots you are trying to get. I'm not usually going for action shots myself, and most of the pics here are carefully composed still shots. Since I'm using all manual-focus lenses I have to take time to set up most shots anyway. So my usage might be different from yours. Maybe electronic makes sense in some situations with bright light sources. Or mechanical for the occasional action shot.

They look like paintings, especially the second one.
Thanks, I'm glad that that came thru at the smaller size.

Nice lens and tones. Delicate.
Thanks, I have to admit that while I liked the lens before, the results on this outing made a deeper impression.

These are very nice Ray! I have the same lens and it is one of my favorites to use.
It's starting to supplant the 1.8H, since it smaller and lighter.

Been awhile since I've seen any villages in homes I visit, looks great!
