Did a bit of street shooting in London (mostly with the 14-30 Z lens) but brought along the 100/2.8 on an FTZ2. The focus overlay in the Z8 was not accurate for this 100mm lens so some more work needed to work out why.
I changed the default time server from Windows default to time.nist.gov

I'm going through the pain of swapping to a new laptop, FM won't let me log in as the Cloudflare verification check says the device clock is set to a wrong time.

I have not been shooting/contributing as much as I would like.
An upcoming vacation will offer plenty of photo opportunities.
50/2 HC is already in the bag.

I was feeling a bit homesick for times recently past.
This was the first time I ever saw the USS Elmo Zumwalt before working on it, 2016, but I knew that was going to be my next ship. She was freshly off Bath Iron Works shipyard. I was on LPD 26 on her way to commissioning in Philadelphia.
We had some fun with her here, this is a released Navy photo, forgive me for including it. But there is no way I could have standing outside with my MF Nikkor.
"201016-N-N2201-0002 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 13, 2020) USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) successfully executed the first live fire test of the MK 57 Vertical Launching System with a Standard Missile (SM-2) on the Naval Air Weapons Center Weapons Division Sea Test Range, Point Mugu, Oct. 13. The ships’ stealth and ability to operate in both the open-ocean and near-shore environments creates a new level of battlespace complexity for potential adversaries. The Zumwalt class will also operate as a key enabler in the acceleration of new warfighting capabilities and rapid development and validation of operational tactics, techniques, and procedures. Rafael, great series of the military ships or as you refer to them, targets.
Riccardo, nice photographs from Italy. I have not been to Orvieto, it is on the list. I understand that it can get super crowded during tourist season.
Andy, excellent capture and processing of the church in Port Fairy.
Colin, great colorful series.
Karlovy Vary:
The locally crafted spa porcelain sipping cups are available just about everywhere in all sorts of sizes and price points. The mineral water is hot and has a sulfur odor , I passed.

I always love your travelogue... You have gone to many places I have, and often times, I get to see more recent shots of views I have seen as well. In this case, I stayed in the Halada many years ago. Yes the water smelled bad, but it did make me feel pretty good after having some. Just can't have a lot if you get kidney stones like I do.

Thank you Serge.
My wife and I went to Orvieto one week ago, on Sunday May 25; the small city wasn't super crowed. The Duomo (Orvieto Cathedral) is wonderful and the Chapel of San Brizio is stunning! On Sunday you can enter the Duomo (8 € ticket) only in the afternoon. The morning we visited the Etruscan museum, just in front of the Duomo. In the Cathedral I didn't use the 50/1.4 AI, only AF lenses (14-30/4 S & AF-S 70-200/4 VR).
Did a half-assed macro comparison between Nikkors..The 200mm f4 ais micro + modified tc16a, and the Micro Zoom-Nikkor 70-180mm f4.5 afd. Out of ten keepers - six that I preferred were by the older manual focus 200mm. Here is one of the two subjects - Honeysuckle blossoms - the other was wild Columbines. Guess I have to keep both lenses. Just MF shots on the D850

Great, now I need a 200mm Micro…
Matt, "need" and want are two very different things. I reserved the word need for when I am trying not to buy. Almost nothing rises to the "need" level.

Kevin, glad you are enjoying the photos. I have a few more to go of places that I suspect you have visited.
You are correct about the water, it did not smell so great. A cold Pellegrino seemed like a more attractive option.
