Our deliberately empty ferry from Amalfi to Sorrento stopped off at Positano to pick up and max out on passengers. The ferry system was chaotic! No real order to any queue and signage was non existent. Basically a bun-fight that added to the fun - or stress depending your outlook.
We were going to take a trip to Positano and walk some of the trails but after having spent a day in Amalfi/Atrani and another in Capri we decided we had seen enough of very crowded narrow streets and similar landscapes. Besides didn't want to experience the hassle and costs of the ferries for a third day running. Apart from changing boats on the outward journey this is as close as we got to Positano.
Have been enjoying your Italian tour very much Colin. Keep them coming. I love that you squeeze in one MF lens on vacation and we get to enjoy the pics here.

Loving the Italy shots Colin ! As Leighton said, such sharpness, vibrancy and COLOUR !
Would love to visit the Amalfi coast and the Cinque Terre area.
Again, while I'm here, a shot from Mt Cook.
This is Kea Point, a short walk from the White Horse campground. Mueller Lake in the foreground, and it's lateral morraine in the foreground (Mueller Glacier is round the corner to the left), Mt Cook Lower Peak in the gap in the middle, Mt Sefton on the left and I think the peak on the right is called The Nun's Veil !
Outstanding Leighton! What a great eye and capture!!!

Hurricane Helene passed through our area early this morning. A lot of people are without power, but there's not a lot of flooding in our area. We somehow missed out on the worst of it even though the eye of the storm was just a few miles away. Fortunately, we were on the west (clean) side of the storm. We have family members on the Georgia coast that are without power and don't expect to get it back until maybe Monday. No property damage, though.
I took a ride to a nearby state park, High Falls State Park, to see how much water is flowing and it didn't disappoint.
Glad you're OK, the power of water comes through your shots.

We went down to Upstate SC to visit our son for my birthday. Ended up evacuating him back to our house here in NC today. No power, cell phone service out, only a few gas stations pumping gas. Not a good situation. Western NC is a disaster area.
Going to be a long recovery there for sure.
Looks like quite a long road ahead, but glad to hear you and yours are safe. Happy belated birthday!
Thanks for all the kind words about the pre-blue hour bridge in the fog shot. It was a pretty neat morning watching the fog drift in and out, and the light change.
Similar to an earlier posted shot, but this time letting the exposure go darker. 28mm f2.0 AI.
Who shoots tiny birds with a 135mm MF lens? Prior to yesterday, not me. With them jumping around, me fumbling the direction of turning the focus ring as they skip about, and said focus ring being a bit on the stiff side, I expected these to be useless. I thought we are supposed to fill the frame with the bird, but these kind of appeal to me.

Leighton, great captures with the 28/2.8 AIs. The mfd capability of the lens is remarkable.
I took very few photos in Madrid but a few more.
Palacio de Cibeles ca 1909 was originally the post office.
Fountain of Cibeles ca 1782. It is in this area folks gather for the football victory celebrations which are total traffic stoppers. I know from experience.
