Continuing with capturing my local wildflowers with the 55mm f2.8 micro + Df
Here is a close up of what we call "wild hyacinth" [Triteleia glandiflora]. They are clusters of light blue/purple flowers about 2-1/2 inches in diameter on a long (9-12 inch) narrow stem. It makes photographing them nearly impossible in any kind of wind. Once again I had pretty calm conditions after a shower. Even though there was a little motion, Photoshop did a decent job of aligning the 10-shot focus stack:

That is VERY exciting! I never got into fisheyes, and the only one I've ever even thought about seeking out is the OP 10mm/5.6 (just because I was fascinated by the design). Compared to the massive 6mm/2.8, the f/5.6 version is actually feasible to carry around. I look forward to your (eventual) shots with this rarity!
Don't get too excited Grant! . The issues is logistics, I am not willing to send the R-Nikkor to Europe and risk having it lost in the mail somewhere. The 6mm 5.6 owner is not willing to just send the lens over either. I offered to buy the 6mm 5.6, then ask for a return, and send the R-Nikkor back, instead of the 6mm, that way we are both protected by US credit card laws and e-Bay. But apparently doing so would break all kinds of rules and EU tax stuff.
Right now, I am unsure how to make the exchange logistics happen between EU can California with no sale, just an exchange. If I tell the story here, it is only to see if someone more worldly could PM me some ideas.
Doug, I am really enjoying your spring wildflowers. You are showing what a Df can still do in capable hands.

Sounds like a road trip to me. Once in a lifetime opportunity for two rare lenses. Sounds like it is worth a plane ticket. Opportunity cost alone is justifiable.

Maybe Buddy would be able to help? He lives in Germany.

You are very kind, George - Thanks
It's fun getting back to the Df and my old lenses from my 20s. It's why I got the Df in the first place
There are a few more blooms to come - I will continue as opportunities present themselves.
The Rolls Royce of motorcycles, the Brough Superior SS100 1000cc OHV. Each motorcycle was assembled to ensure fit then disassembled for painting before final assembly and road tested to 100mph before delivery.
T.E.Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) had 8 of these, (he was killed on No.7 but had No.8 on order at the time)

Awesome. I guess in this case "Superior" is unlike the "Pro/Pro Max" the cellphone and Chinese car manufacturers use to entice us to spend more.

That is a tricky one indeed. For logistics, I would go with UPS insured. They deal with all the customes stuff, and maybe contacting them right now could shed some light on the exchange option. I know it will require some extra documentation from both sides, but I did such exchanges in the past. It would also include, for the European seller, to bring the lens to the customs office and have UPS collect it from there, so customs can ensure it is this particular lens, from this particular transaction, leaving the country. Again, I did contact customs regarding such transactions in the past and always found them very cooperative.
