Aha! That's it. Good thing there is Flickr. On this displayed size, black and white wins by the slimmest of margins. On flickr at full size, on a big screen, the colour version is so impressive with so much detail it's my favourite.

My youngest has flown the coup, and this chapter's end feels poignant. So, I looked up a photo where he was mad at me - the day I got the 50mm f1.2 ais a little over 10 years ago. I woke him up (almost mid day), because I wanted to try the lens out. (That's what I told him - anyway)

On a pure practicality/utility level, the 6mm/5.6 would be truly astounding: 220 degrees! Also just a show-stopping piece of kit. As exclusive as the R-Nikkor is, I would say the capabilities of the 6mm/5.6 would outweigh the rarity of the R-Nikkor in my mind. Nice to have that dilemma!
I kind of agree with you Grant, the R_Nikkor is a decent micro, but I have better, its only value is rarity - and it has plenty.
The monetary value of the R-Nikkor may be higher but the photographic value of the 6mm 5.6 is much higher - so I prefer the 6mm.
We have an agreement to trade but the seller is in Europe and we are trying to figure out the logistics.
Everything I post is uploaded full size to Flickr in case you want a closer look.
This file, a full res D850 file is 156 MB for some reason.

Looking further up the lake towards snow capped Ben Lomond (I think!) using the D850 and 105/1.8 ais, 65:24 crop that I love so much on the gfx, not native on the D850 obvs, done in LR.

That is VERY exciting! I never got into fisheyes, and the only one I've ever even thought about seeking out is the OP 10mm/5.6 (just because I was fascinated by the design). Compared to the massive 6mm/2.8, the f/5.6 version is actually feasible to carry around. I look forward to your (eventual) shots with this rarity!
Andy, super landscape photography of stunning scenery.
Sevilla Cathedral, 15th-16th centuries.
The world's largest Gothic Cathedral built to showcase Sevilla's wealth and economic power. It is one of those places that upon entry, the jaw drops. It has 80 chapels adorned with approximately 88,000 pounds of gold, 41,800 pounds of silver plus thousands of gemstones. It is truly an amazing place but tickets must be purchased way early and are sold by time slots.
One of the several main attractions, the tomb of Christopher Columbus. It was originally located in Havana, Cuba and moved to the Cathedral in 1899. It is supported by four figures representing the four regions of Spain.

Harry, your use of the 300mm and 400mm with converters to capture the cactus flower is very good indeed!
Thanks Rafael for the kind comment.

A general heads up - over the next month or so I'll be listing a lot of my Nikon mount (and some E-mount) for sale. Going to keep just a few Nikkors.
Life is different now and I'm paring things down.
Keeping the 16/3.5 AI x2 pair and the 600/5.6 ED AIS, but other than that it all will need to find a new home.
I'll update the group when my listing is about to go live.

I feel I will be following you in this as well. This weekend is a big test for me, which format do I keep...Fuji or Nikon? Fuji is a crop, but I spend damn near no time editing (extensive use of film recipes). Nikon is FF (much nicer DR and easy to manipulate files), but have to do some editing. I really don't like to edit much. Its fine every now and then, but with my Nikon...I feel like I have to pull it into a computer to work on. I know that some folks are making recipes for Nikon, but it has a long way to go. My eyes are getting bad, so MF glass is getting much harder to do and it frustrates me enough that I stop shooting. Either way, most of my MF glass is going to go.
