But the ability to shift/rise/fall would let me stitch within the full image circle of this medium format lens and give a much wider field of view in the final image. Using large format lens would give even more room in the image circle to stitch.
So opposed to moving the lens AND camera to create a stitched image, the lens remains stationary and the digital back does all the moving within the stationary image circle of the lens. So you don't have to deal with issues of lens vignette and exposure variables when stitching.
Hoping the weather cooperates for a trip to the mountains later this month. There are a couple more waterfalls on my target list

Thanks. yea, we are just starting to see some color, maybe it's our altitude compared to you that makes the difference.
Can't wait to see more from your kit. What's the 35mm equivalent of tha 40mm on your rig?

With this rig, you have so much ability to manipulate the image. Seems it takes a fair amount of practice to get the best out of it. I think it would be fun and also make you slow your photography down even farther. Which is one of the things I love about using MF lenses.
My nikon 200F4 AIS micro lens came today and this mystry collar is a bit too large. The dia. of the mystry coller is about 58/60MM. I now believe 40 F5.6 EDIF AIS ? Will a person on this form see if they can get a Dia. measuremt of their body and or t he ir lens collar Dia. Thats 400 MM F5.6 EDIF no 40.
Not fall colours but pleasing to my eye, a particular colour variation of scented tropical flowering tree the Frangipan or Plumeria after passing it's peak. (The more common colour being white/yellow.)
Phoebe was abandoned by her mother at just a few weeks old under a deck. The home owner tore off deck boards to get to her. She still has some issues even after 10 years. I am her favorite hooman, but recently she has made friendly attempts to establish a relationship with my wife. (her primary source of food) Phoebe is a Nebelung breed (super dense fur) and she loves to pose for the camera. This was shot with the 105mm f4 ais micro.
And now for something completely different. Candids this time. 50/2 yet again.
50mm was too tight for the first image so I missed the woman's human partner.
However, it is all about her canine companion.

That looks like an awesome spot for a drink at sunset. The kind of place I'd enjoy a lot!
Added it to the long list of places to see when I get rid of the day job.
