Dean - good of you to keep things ticking along. Nice pics! I was going to post something Yesterday when my ten year old Win10 desktop decided to corrupt it’s boot drive. Personally I blame Microsoft for pushing out a major release on me. Couldn’t remedy the situation easily so had to do a clean install. Lost a couple of days stuff since backup was a few days old. No big deal but I did lose some photos edits I’d worked on in LR. Still got them in the SD card and a separate drive.
Waiting for the MacFanboys to jump in here....
Probably due a computer upgrade given its age.

Does Apple have a store in England?
and if so why wouldn't everyone have one

Apple stores here closed again as the virus keeps climbing. But they are offering free shipping for ordering online.
I have one of my children's hand-me-down MacBook Pros so the brand is not unfamiliar to me.
My back-up solutions are reaching capcity so I need an upgrade in the very near future.
I must admit I am brutal with my image culling these days in order to keep things in check.
Sorry about your boot drive corruption Colin. Which update is it? Just as I logged in I got the notice that 2004 update is being downloaded. My Core i5 desktop is 2011 vintage. I do have daily backups but a few things are starting to act suspect, + ocassional boot failures. I'm living a bit dangerously but it will have to stop working completely before I buy a new one.
Macs are nice but I could feed a family for the price of a Mac Mini here. I'll just continue to like them from a distance.
Dean, I love the film pictures. Something about them really appeals to me.
Phong, congratulations on the 200mm macro. I can see a Nikon manual focus macro in my future. I used to think I have enough (AF) macro lenses(40,60,70,105,150) but this thread is such a bad influence.

It was the preparation/download for the 2004 update that seemed to screw up some files on my desktop OS drive.
Could be a coincidence but I had issues with my state-of-the-art work laptop freezing while it was going through the same phase.
All well with both now the 2004 update has been installed.

It sounds like just the step I have allowed my desktop into. Crossing fingers now.

Everything I have read about the 2004 update sounds awful. I have auto update turned off on my wife’s Surface Pro until MS sorts it out. Good luck!

I'm not sure, but I don't think you can turn auto update off with Windows 10 Home (which most folks have), only Windows 10 Pro.
I see many photos posted here by Fuji + MF Nikkor lens. Below is mine with Sony A7s attached to Nikkor 28mm F/2.8 AIS for your ref.
Due to non-E adapter, only shutter speed and ISO data embedded in EXIF. If not wrong, I believe it was at F/2.8.
Is it usable at ISO 10,000?
Seems very usable to me, Phong. However, I consider myself to be very tolerant of noise. I love the mood conveyed by the weather in this picture. Rainy season can come back now. Brown and dry landscapes are depressing.
The blue screen of death is familiar to most of us who have used Microsoft OS
But in all the years of using Macs and doing all the updates etc I have only ever had a Mac have a problem once back in 2009 and that was my fault ......
Something to be said for such reliability .....
Having worked with IBM AS/400 with OS400 and its reliability back then, Windows was a bit of a scary place even back years ago .... to be avoided. But companies who invest don't seem to understand how much money they waste.

Maybe I delayed it, I don’t remember now. I have a Bootcamp partition on my MacBook Pro running Win10 Pro... I have it turned off for sure there.
I have had plenty of issues with both OS’s. Neither side is immune. In my experience as an IT person, I have to deal with more Windows problems than Mac, but we have about 9 times more PCs than we do Macs.

If IT people didn't have IT problems, we wouldn't need IT people. Conspiracy?

Thanks for your comment. I kept it as it at ISO10,000 without any denoise action. It's pretty much fine when using -20 in Noise Reduction slider in Camera Raw.
And yep, pouring rain outside makes sense.
