Love the contrast between light and shadow. I can't get over how well those old LTM's do on a modern digital camera. Sure, most of it comes from the experience of the photographer, but still...
Thanks Leighton. I feel they work best on black and white film and on the Monochrom. In the right lighting too. But sometimes the "flaws" work too.

Nice images. I particularly like the shadow under the tree in the first one, it really pops. Well done.
Thanks, suns position and clouds lined up for me when I took the shot. The 28 Series E isn't the sharpest lens but it character has served me well all these years mainly for UV and IR photography with the odd colour shot.
You have got to try the old Nikkor Leica thread mount lenses. Perfect match. But if you go down that rabbit hole like I did, don't skimp on the LTM/M adapters.
Thanks
As a multi platform shooter I proceed cautiously towards any new rabbit hole. Before descending I make sure I won't be saying I'm Late I'm Late I'm Late for a very important planned acquisition.
I'm staying manually focused on the plans I set forth 3 years ago. Plans can change when the unexpected appears outside the frame of acquisition. Though it takes time to reset the planned aperture or focus and I would hate to miss the shot I planned for.
Don't think I will be heading down the LTM rabbit hole at this time. When I do I will buy a higher quality adapter.
Thanks for mentioning of Nikkor Leica threaded mount lenses not in the current plans but a little investigation could be part of the next plan.

Couple of pics from my wandering around with the FE2 & 35/2 Ai-S. Portra 400 scanned on a Nikon V-ED using NegativeLabPro which I'm really loving now. Can even embed exif details via NLP
I love the 35/2 AIS, one of my favorite lenses. I just picked up a mint factory AI converted Nikkor-O 35/2 and think I'm in love. The formula is essentially the same as the more modern variants, but the coatings are primitive and it has a lovely color rendition and character that I was never able to coax out of the AIS. Just don't point it towards any bright lights, unless you're going for that out of control flare look!
Here are a couple from the neighborhood this weekend, all wide-open on the Df...
George, excellent berry shot. Works really well in b/w.
Burning Heart, great IR work.
Dean, excellent work with the 35/2.0 ais!
Colin, awesome macro work.
Leighton, you are making me hungry with all that good stuff. That maple syrup got me drooling....
Laura, that must ´ve been a really strong (small) fish Nice shots!
Serge, great shot with the 105. They seem to really like sitting there watching out..
Reagan, nice beach shots lately.
I´ve been shooting some the last few days. On friday night a friend and I took a little photo walk around Malmö. Brought the D800 and the 35/2.0 ais. Yesterday an exc++++ 50/1.4 ais arrived. Took a few shots with it today.
Then a couple of shots with the 50/1.4 ais. So far I think it´s great

The open fields between two wooded areas (picture 2 above) have been set aside by the farmer and seeded with wild flowers. The colours were amazing and I only had IR with me.
So, a revisit with the D610 is required in the next day or so before the sunny the weather breaks.
