Sooo, FF *does* make a huge difference from a crop body.
Especially with this lens, on my FF bodies, I want to say EVERYTHING blooms/glows/halos at f1.2
I have deliberately not used either of my FF bodies, using just the FujiFilm X-E1.
I like it.
FINALLY, got a "dreamy" style rendering from the below combination.
FujiFilm X-E1 and Minolta MC Rokkor-X 58/1.2, 12mm Kenko tube :
It is sharp wide open,a tad sharper than 58/1.2 and has pleasant rendering in f2-f4 region, though in contrasty lighting bokeh may be not as smooth as the one from the 58/1.2.Compared to MC Rokkor PG 50/1.4 the lens tends to show visible CA in corners, even at f5.6.Colours are rich and bright.
there the difference between 50 and 58 are not so huge ..
but this year i noticed, that on NEX + speed booster I do not like the 50mm 1.2 - up to now i do not understand, why. it is somehow not sharp in the corners, has strong vignetting (ugly, only in the very corners) .. don't know, need to test.

how many 50/1.2 owners do we have here? I am contemplating the purchase of one.
I expect that it is a bit sharper but with less pleasant rendering in the f2-f4 region? perhaps the same wacky behavior wide open, as well?
i owned it for a little over a year prior to buying my current crop of f/1.2 lenses. i really miss it but would always choose the 58/1.2 over it if forced to choose. it has a very different wide open look, with funkier bokeh. it is also higher contrast and sharper with more noticeable CA and loCA. stopped down to f/2-f/4 i was always extremely bothered by the hexagons it produced. it is quite compact for an f/1.2.

why did you sell your 58/1.2?
I only shoot film & hated the minolta cameras. The lens was good but I have the ZM 50 planar and I like the Leica bodies a lot so I wasn't using it.
I have basically accepted that ~50mm is really all I want to shoot and I just sold my 35 biogon. I have been looking at options for getting something a bit less expensive and putting the balance in the bank. I was looking at the ZF 50P and the 50MP on something like an F3 but hey, I saw a decent price on a 50/1.2 and may purchase it.
