Well, after three years of searching, I finally was able to track down Twig the Fairy and collaborate with her on a photography project. We're going to be selling the images we created at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival next month as well as on my site.
Would you guys please do me a favor and let me know which ones you like best and why? Also, if you have any suggestions on names for each photo, I'd love to hear 'em. And, if you just have general comments, critiques, those are welcome, too. Feedback is good!
I poured my heart into these and I hope you enjoy them. Thanks for looking!
I love the costume and make-up, so whimsical, they are very interesting shots. Number 5 captures the warmth of the sun on her face and the I think the profile shot is fantastic. Great concept, but also 13 is great with all the natural trees and the model being an after thought. Very creative, I enjoyed vieweing your pics, and love playing with shots like these myself.
I'd second Beda's thoughts about 5, nice profile shot and like her expression.
I'd be another one to vote for 6 as one of the best, along with 13 being an interesting one and, even though it's maybe not the best image, 12 because getting that butterfly in it is just awesome
I like #3 and #6. As long as you're gonna slap that huge watermark on these, why not post them a lot larger, so we can see her better in the ones where she is such a small part of the frame?
Love 6, 11 (mostly for the quizzical fairy looks which she nailed). I'd suggest more post work on her face to make her look like a perfectly skinned fairy..
I was really excited about the first one, because it has a "Magical" Quality to it. And it seems like its starting to straddle the line between a photograph and a painting...
But then the rest of them were portraits. GOOD portraits, but just portraits.
And I found myself wondering why I would want to buy a photograph of a woman dressed up as a fairy?
Just some food for thought....
<Edit>
I just saw twigs 12 month Calendar. I would buy that....
