Appreciate the acknowledgement Jo. I've done the same before buying a subscription, albeit after the OP's transaction has been done, so I try to "pay it forward".
there's an Ebay seller called Light Craft Workshop that sells a significantly cheaper alternative called The Fader. I bought one and am happy with it for the times I need something like that.

Thanks for the heads up zeebot, I actually looked into faders a while ago and saw that some tests showed it softened the image compared to the singh rays.
