Successful studio (also largest) in Northern Virginia is looking for good second shooters for weddings this season starting in late April through November.

Prefer Nikon shooters with D700 or better gear and fast glass.
Need to know off-camera flash, natural light, and the basics of flash sync, depth of field, etc.

Reliable and personable are critical.

Good pay, and skill set improvement are provided.

Our best candidates like to shoot weddings but know not to quit there day job in a saturated market with extreme pricing pressure.

We are also looking for a non-camera assistant to help with gear and lighting.
We re also looking for a videographer for occasional daytime weekday events.

Since you're about 15 minutes from me, I don't want to pile on the negativity bandwagon, but I do want to point out that you're currently advertising for workshops and classes..............

.....that begin in 2007.

Your pricing is as of 2008.

A link to your location on Google Maps would be most appreciated.

Your "What People Are Saying About Us" page lacks paragraphs/breaks for different testimonials- I simply can't read it.

If you're viewing text on your page and attempt to use the primary drop-down, the menu options are illegible.

A lot of the sample images appear to come from film. Good or bad? That depends on your customers.

This is a friendly forum. We either have come to know each
other from our online conversations, or we've had the chance
to meet in person. But either way, we feel somehow like distant
friends.

Your post just sounds like you you're bragging about how big and
bad your studio is. And it sounds like a 'help wanted' ad I would
read on the classifieds. Perhaps approach it more like...

'hey everybody! we're looking for a few cool and skilled people
to shoot some weddings with us this year. If you've got the goods,
drop me an email or gimme a call,

(sign name here)'

Guarantee that would get you a better response. So delete this
thread and start over

Slightly OT...

I used to shoot for a few pretty high end studios in DC several years ago. All black tie stuff.
Recently I went to check out their websites, and it looked like they hadn't been updated in 10 years. Some of the old-school DC guys are just relying on word of mouth at this point I'm thinking.
