A friend of mine's father passed away recently and had just purchased a D3x for self-portrait project he wanted to do for his kids. He left all his equipment to her and told her to sell the D3x since she knew nothing about cameras and it would be too advanced for her.
Adorama has the camera for sale for $7,500 asking price is $6,500.
Camera is practically brand new. ~400 shutter clicks.
That is a sad story and a noble thing you are doing in assisting her.
It may help buyers if you gave more info - e.g.re yourself - do you have any other feedback elsewhere ? re camera - is there a scan of receipt you can show - and provide with the sale ? is warranty info filled out ?
Call B&H with verifiable info of the original buyer etc, and tell them the story, I don't think B&H ha any problem to email you a copy of purchase invoice.... That will make sense and make the sale easier,,,
Good luck for the sale !
BTW---Does the daughter keep all those fancy lens and L bracket? I thought as the D3X owner must have some very good lens etc....
Sorry, work got a little busy. Here's a snapshot of the box. It says it's a USA version. I know a couple of people have asked about that. I haven't contacted B&H yet, but will try tomorrow.
