Many thanks, Steven. Some light barely making it through the clouds here and there made the difference.

Beautiful Santiago. I really like the balance between sky and earth on this one, and the conversion is spot on as well.

Peace,

Todd

Fantastic photo. I don't normally like horizon lines centered, but it works fantastic here. Lots of nice lines, some variation in lighting, and very nice tones and composition. Looks great - Paul

Thanks so much, Tom. The yellow leaves and the darker clouds offered a striking contrast, I am glad that this can still, and also, be felt in BW.

Definitely a wall hanger Santiago. The more I look at it the more I appreciate the composition - there's so much going on in spite of the static nature of the landscape itself. Very nice all the way around.

This was just after harvesting, so your best bet would be on the bottled stuff
Thanks a lot for commenting on this, Tim.

Thanks Todd. Yes, the sky impressed on me as much as the land, and they balance each other well, which is why the horizon is centered here.

Just gorgeous, Santiago! I love it. My only teeensy nit would be that dark pole in the middle right and what appears to be a white van on the road. Seeing such overt encroachments of humanity in the midst of such bucolic splendor is a bit jarring.

All the best,

Endre

Many thanks for that, Tim. Conditions were perfect in the bistro too, where I sampled some of this excellent white

Thank you, Paul. Rather than having the dramatic sky and the golden vineyard competing against each other for attention, I preferred to stay neutral and more or less center the horizon. It is up to the viewer to decide where in the photo to spent more or less time

Thank you kindly, Endre. I too thought a long time about the two items you mention. I eventually decided I should keep them because they are linked to the scene here. The pole because it brings telephone and electricity, across the wood and to the village (you can see the road leading to it). The parked van, because it brought the people who were harvesting the last grapes
