Here is another view from one of the many dune systems in the wilderness areas out in the Mojave Desert.

To me, it looks better upside down. Great colors and patterns. I like it.

Steve I have to agree, the more i look at that first one, the more it looks upside down. Love the textures and the colors - definitely a keeper, the second is nice but the first one grabs me. Rick

Hello Steve, beautiful colors, patterns, and textures in the first one, and the night shot is super as well. Good work.

Funny - my first reaction, before reading other post, was that the image was upside-down!

Either it really is upside down (Steve?) or there is some perceptual issue that makes us see it this way.

You guys are funny, it's not upside down. I shot it from a high ridge in the dunes so if you were there and standing in the distance from the direction I was shooting then yes it would be upside down from that point. The angle must be causing the "Mirage."

The 1st is mesmerizing, Steve. Very nicely seen. Love the soft dawn light in the 2nd, too.

Both are lovely, Steve. Love the wonderful patterns and contrast in the first. Really like the moody feel of the second.

Cheers,
Ed
