Checked Canon USA today, I could only find Canon new T2i body:

so, no new "3D, 5DmkIII" or "35L mkII, and 24-70IS"

I bought a 7D on friday for about 1.500,- Euro with 18-135 mm EF-S

I think, it was right, to do this.

I have my 7D two month earlier, the 7D is more handy with the big second wheel
and it is two times faster because of the Dual-Digic IV professor

I tested the speed with "standard noise reduction" and "strong noise reduction"
with standard I can take nearly endless pictures with UDMA cards, with "strong" I can only take 4 pictures (and this with 2x Digic IV)

I think the 550 D is a good camera, but the 450 D and 500 D will be cheaper.
