Had two games in the last 4 days, that's the most I have done in a long time and man did I miss it. Anyways, the first game was a great game but unfortunately my images sucked because I was plagued by trying to fix my damn net cam all night (see pic 1). The second game, much better except by the start of the third we were down 5-1. That was alright though because I decided to get a little artistic and try a few things I have not done in a while. Check out the B+W photo's for what I am talking about.
Also, please pardon the very large inconsistency in color's and lighting. We have been trying a new set-up for the last few weeks and are still trying to dial it in.
Very nice, I really like the shots with motion blur. I have tried this with no success. What is your shutter speed on these? Too bad about the net cam. I would have to say at least it did not have the same result as the one Ovechkin destroyed.
Rick, I applaud the experimentation, I just have to wonder if there is a market anywhere for these shots. I used to play a bit, but these shots languished with no sales....

i am going to go with a big NOPE. might get lucky and someone person may be interested at some point. that wasn't the goal (no pun intended) in this case though. i was simply bored out of my skull and wanted to try to do something to get my creative juices flowing.

Which I how I think I've added an un-needed 25,000 clicks to my D700!
Bwahahahaaa!! LOVING the panned zamboni shot! That is freakin' awesome! What shutter do you need to show a sense of speed on a zamboni? 1/2 second? Awesome.
Great set. The "usual" shots on top are fantastic... particularly 6, 10 and 11. Also, great timing on the goal shots with the pucks hitting the twine. I don't think your lighting levels look off at all in these shots... great punch. The B&W play shots are all fun, I dig 14, 15 and 18.
Exposure on the color shots is great -- very bright but at the same time you didn't blow out the texture of the ice, which is pretty remarkable. I would love to get results like this, how many lights did you use here?
