Before I started my business, I read from a landscape photographer:
"knowing when NOT to take a photo is just as important as knowing WHEN to take a photo"
And I apply that to my business and all my photographers - even though we shoot sports. If the camera is not going to be ready, the framing, the timing, etc.... DON'T take the shot! It will be less to chimp later (and we shoot ALOT)
Kudo's to your blog and tutorials that are fitting for all!

I really appreciate it a lot coming from you Hammy
What else?
That was drummed into our heads in by my commercial photo teacher. Always shoot a "What Else?" shot. After (or before) you have the shot the client is expecting, do something else that you wouldn't ordinarily do. Alot of the time it ends being a better shot than the planned one. In fact for one project , he ignored the assigned picture and only reviewed the "What Else" shots. Some students didn't have enough time to do the what else shot and were pretty much screwed.
