A couple months ago I was looking for a neck strap and I found a link in here for the Wapiti site. The person said they are a very good strap so I decided to try one. I have had mine now for over a month and I love this strap. Light weight, strong and the elk hide feels great on the neck. I like it so much I just ordered another one for my second body.
The first strap I bought I got the C-1 and it was custom made to t the length I wanted I got so sick and tired of not having a strap long enough. I had mine made to 47 inches so I can hold it out and see the darn LCD (glasses) not only that it's long enough I can have it around my neck and over the shoulder hanging at my side. The strap I just ordered though is their new bugle which is adjustable to 52 inches I don't need that length but it's there for people who do
The owner of the Wapiti straps gave it to me for being a repeat customer But he's also a great guy to talk with. He designed these straps and makes them. He lives in Montana and goes to Yellowstone a ton and has been doing so for years. He decided after using many straps to design his own and this is what he came up with.

Very nice strap. Comfortable and well built.
I agree totally but some people worry about the metal ring so far I have not had an issue with it. I did read where a person bought this strap and was worried about the ring so he bought some shrink wrap to cover it. From what I hear the new Bugle the rings are farther back and less of an issue
Where are those animal rights whackos when you need one?
But, but...........there's no quick release ("QR" for people too busy to speak English) option wherein an owner might remove the troublesome strap while using his or her camera in lengthy session on tripod or other support.
I bought an 'UPstrap' for money = large specifically because an option to do that is offered by the makers of UP.
Another vote for the Wapiti strap. I got mine for Christmas and love it. Carried my gripped 50d with RRS l bracket for 3 days at Disney and can positively say that it is the most comfortable strap I have ever used. I carry the camera on my shoulder and it stays put.

Nice strap though, nevertheless...
Yup and where are they when I am munching down on a Big Mac?
Today I got my second Wapiti strap this time I bought the Bugle that is adjustable and I think I may like this one better than the C-1. I like the fact that it is adjustable but because of this the metal rings are further away from the camera so one doesn't have to worry about the ring bumping the LCD but even though my ring on the C-1 has bumped the LCD I see no damage at all. I don't think I will ever use anothe strap I like them that much.
