Samuli, that was an excellent summary of your findings, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and images. Really helpful for those of us who own the 100MP and are on the fence regarding the 135/2.
Rodluvan - Thanks, aberrations are not totally absent, you can provoke minor aberrations at f2 in extreme light situations.
Greggf - Thank you.
darbo - Samuli has summed up the 2/135 characteristics very well. I have to add that I took all my pictures with 5DMKII EG-S screen and OVF. In that respect is the 2/135 for me the best Zeiss lens. I get more keepers than from any other Zeiss lens I own.
Samuli - Thank you for your excellent AS MP comparison. It is always very helpful and enlightening for me reading your posts.
Atlanterhavsveien or The Atlantic Ocean Road is a two-lane highway in Norway, which connects the island and municipality of Averøy with the mainland at Eide. It has been declared one of the world’s best road trips. Enjoy your ride!

THen I must have been mistaken which is not very unlikely as I was in a hurry, but she looked very much like her anyway.
Ulff, great shots with 21, liked the 1st one better.
Diploneis, great composition and light in Atlanterhavsveien photo.
One more point to comparison of Makro-Planar T* 2/100 (MP) and APO-Sonnar T* 2/135 (AS):
7. Focus throw: Focusing to medium distance (~5m/15feet) subjects is easier with AS, and to distant subjects (20m/60feet or longer) very much easier due to longer focus throw. Same kind of difference as with Planar T* 1.4/85 vs. MP.
Yesterday tested APO-Sonnar T* 2/135 with human made subjects in addition to my usual nature stuff. Photos below are placed to "temp" directory on server and will be removed when I clean up the server next time.
Somebody had left old sofa to forest road (private road where motorized vehicles are forbitten unless you have permit to use the road = why I was there with bicycle) - Carl Zeiss APO-Sonnar T* 2/135 @ f/5.6, 1/20s, 5DmkII@ISO100 - larger
