I continue to be blown away by the quality of images in this thread. Thank you all for sharing.
I've been bitten by the long exposure bug. I purchased a B+W110 a few weeks ago and really like it on the 21mm. Here's one from this weekend. Click the photo for camera / settings info.
Jim - Wondering if you ever compared the Vari-ND (up to 8 stops) with the B+W for IQ. Obviously, you get the varability of the Singh-Ray versus the B+W. I have the Singh-Ray but in a 77mm size. I might sell it to buy the 82mm for my 21 ZE or go with the B+W.
Another from my long exposure / monochrome series. This is the Knoxville, TN skyline shot from the 11st. Garage. Click the photo to read the description and processing steps on flickr.
@Bob - I had such a hard time deciding on which ND to get for the 21mm. I scoured thread after thread and finally decided on the B+W more for availability reasons. I just couldn't find a lot of choices for the 82mm size. Things may have changed a little over the past three months but from what I've heard from filter connection, etc. it's a pretty common problem. I would add that Filter Connection was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for your kind words too.
@Bobu - Thank you!
@Lieutenant Z - Fantastic series. I really like the detail, amazing color and composition of the last one. They are all wonderful!
Note to self: Get out of this thread now - you can't afford it! Slowly, I'm considering selling my Nikkor 85mm ƒ/1.4G for the Zeiss. I'm leaving now. Have a great day / night everyone!
Edit: I just noticed my last upload has the wrong title - DOH! It should be Knoxville TN 2012. See this thread has me all confused.
Martynas- "Fortress of Solitude" in B&W...it looks like something magical/powerful is occuring on the table of the glacial structure...love those foreboding clouds...would make for a nice metallic print. The 21mm is perfect for expressing the magnitude of this structure.
*** I want to express my gratitude to all you wonderful photographers on this thread for allowing me to develop such a insatiable starking mad appetite for Zeiss lenses. I have never had such a fever or wanting for any other lens type-ever. The malaria of lens bugs...Zeiss.
Martynas- Mono Lake was my absolute favorite landscape location! It is so alien! I love your shot and am so envious....I wish I was there with a Zeiss. I need to get back there.
