Indeed nice set Jim. I like the horse and the composition on the last one.
Philippe, the first one is my favorite.
Lieutenant, love that street shot. Would look great in B&W.
reza: Very cinematic feel to that photo
Picture This!: Nice shot, love the rich color of the rocks
akul: The first shot is very abstract and I like the details in the 2nd. I'm really tempted by the 35/1.4 now
Jochenb: I can almost feel the cool & crisp air in your photo!
Lieutenant Z: Nice streetwork, and I agree with jochenb that it might look good in b&w
Jim: Fantastic work with the 100MP, that first shot of the horse is so evocative and the toning of the windmill is perfect
philber:I like the first shot the most but the slight asymmetry is bugging me
Joakim, Lieutenant, Philippe, Alkanphel, Bob Thank you !!
It is quite exciting to see works from old timers, as well as regulars. It is like a great end of year festivity
Joakim - I enjoy the melancholic feel of the shot. Reflection on the window adds to the mood.
Lieutenant - Fantastic capture of the musician and oof street scene. His eyes and smile really makes this shot sing.
Jim - Wonderful series. FIrst , second, and the last really make a great set for me.
Philippe - How wonderful to see your work on this thread again !! I am glad you still have your 5DII #1 and #2 are both great. Geometry of ferris wheel ( funair ? ) and the glass vault / dome structure works better with #1 to my eyes. However, I like the view of dome structure on #2 more. And of course, it is the 50 shot. Very lovely rendition.
ltruong8 - Very nice color. #1, and #3 especially caught my eyes.
Bob - Great set. Love the PP on those shots. #1 is just really fun, yet I really like the #3.
35/1.4 @f9 ( have not used the nd filter on this lens yet, hence the f9 )
Thanks, Luka. The 35 1.4 does a very good job for close up. Here are few evidences. Mostly came out of the camera, I just ran the resize script that I learned from Denoir (German Luka??) and crop the output.
#1
Jochen, Alkanphel, Akul, Bob, thank you for your kind words, they matter!
Bob, another great set to your credit!
Akul, just the sort of wonderful shot that I don't know how to achieve!
Itruong8, the first two of your last three shots are just ridiculously nice!
Uzay, great cat shot, and with MF! Please don't tell me that it was wide open, too
philber, it was really hard to capture the cat at my 6th attempt i managed to capture, it never stopped but finally i was successful, yes it's wide open f/2 1/80 ISO 200
Philippe - Thank you. As you can see, I am working on recipe for good lemonade
Jochen- I missed to comment on your photo, it was not intentional. Gorgeous shot from Lofoten. I knew nothing about Lofoten until I saw shots from Philippe, Luka ( Denoir ) last winter. Gorgeous place with or without snow. Wonderful shot. Beautiful color and composition. One day, I'd like to visit Lofoten.
ltruong8 - Lovely flower shots. Last one is definitely my favorite.
Uzay - Wonderful to see your work here Uzay ! I really like the first shot. Regularity of table and chair in the foreground against buildings is very interesting. B/W is really effective too.
Bob - Yeay, more shots. Great BW conversion. First shot is gorgeous. Boat under the bridge adds to the scene very nicely.
Lieutenant - I did not know Alsace Pinot Noir has such a light color. Nice bokeh !

Thanks Luka.
The Lofoten are wonderful. My visit was very short. Too short. Had nice conversations with locals about the life there. Very interesting. It's a place that intrigues me.
I want to go back myself one day.
Akul, that is à shot you could/should enter in the Zeiss competition. It is called "every moment tells a story", and that is what came to my mind when I saw your picture. What a story for Christmas day...
A lot happens in 4 pages here...a lotof good stuff! Thanks for the comments on my frosty pics.
Jochenb - clarity of the light in Lofoten is fantatsic.
Lieut.Z - lot of good shots - like the street pics.
akul, Picture This!, philber, itruong8, uzay - lot of great shots.
joachim - I tried something similar ona fresh cut log recently too. The 35/1.4 may not make my shopping list for a while.
jim - always a good set.
rji2golez - great shot of the nativity and industrial scene - also earlier b+w shots are great.
akul - nice bike shot. Every city in th eworld has a shot like that in it...unfortunately.
Pingflood - like this very much.
