Canon needs something in their lineup to compete with the Nikon 200-400 F4 VR. It's supposed to be an awesome lens that costs like $6k.

I voted 'maybe', but I'm hoping they don't update anything. Every time they introduce a new lens, their repair department seems to stop supporting the perfectly usable older version of the lens that I already own.
