Santa brought a Wii and apparently, a Wii + the New Super Mario Bros is like crack cocaine for a 4 year old! We are usually pretty strict about video game play in our house (the boys can only play from 7pm-8pm), but we have been pretty soft on that rule over Christmas break.

I've been attempting to use 'deliberate motion blur' by using a slow shutter speed the past few times I've had the camera out with varying degrees of success. I think the subtle motion blur works in these photos. Your thoughts?

Gear used was 1ds2 + 24L

which focal length do you seem to prefer 35 or 24?

Gotta love the intensity in their faces while playing their video games.

1 hour a day of video games? Thats gonna be tough for the young guys. I bet they'll eagerly await that time of day.

That game is like crack for 25 year old kids too, I finished the game in 2 sittings, I won't say how long each sitting lasted

Just remember when you get your Wii Zapper for all the war/shooting games that YOU will get, HIDE IT!

My 5yo found mine and knew what it was right away.

Lots of wonderful Wii games for the whole family to do together. I never would have found out how musical my son was without Rockband. He's graduated to real guitars, but the family has had many fun nights together playing all kinds of games.

I like that you've documented it. Motion blur is perfect for this.

yes, the 5d2 is gone. i replaced it with the 1ds2. as layne says, 'what a machine'. the only knock on it for me is the tiny LCD...but i just pretend i'm shooting film and the little LCD is better than no lcd!
