Nice shot Des. I stayed in that hotel in the center of your picture with the gilded dome roof. Just to the left of your shot should be an ancient Moorish watchtower. That part of the coast has several of them.
Mike, here's a better closeup of the dome. I also have a few pictures of the watchtowers that are all along the coast. We took the ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi, so we didn't actually go into Positano.
Holy wow! That is one of the coolest towns I have ever seen! I used to play this game on Xbox called 'Beetle Racing' and there was a town on that game that looks just like that. Wow, I can't imagine what life must be like there! What country is that? Thanks for sharing these.
This shot brings back memories. Beautiful area. Unfortunately I have no pictures. Several years ago we did a day trip from Positano to Pompeii. While stopped at a traffic light, a guy jumps off a scooter, open the back (unlocked) door of our car and runs off with my backpack including camera and only pair of prescription glasses!

Oh my gosh Ken, that's awful. Unfortunately even the beautiful places in the world still have their share of ugly people. I hope you get to go back someday and build some fonder memories.
