My funds have been cut (long story), I thought i could spend $3000.00.Not going to happen. But I can afford the 50d with the 17-40L, $1800 limit.What do you think,good choice for the money? (will be shooting construction site jobs, inside photo's with flash) someone I knew gave me 430ex2 speed light. So at least I have a flash.Comments or suggestes welcome.
how about 40D and a 17-55IS. I had the 17-40and 17-55 at the same time and liked the 17-55 much better. You get image stabalizer, F2.8, and a longer range without lacking any quality.
+1 for 17-55 vs 17-40. I've had both, the 17-55 is a better lens even if the 17-40 does have a lovely "L" on it. The 17-55 was even better than my 24-105 in many respects, and I really wish it would work on my 5D.
+ another 1 for the 17-55. Great deal on them with Bing cashback and Dell right now. May want to also consider a good CPL for the construction sites to cut glare and reflections. - Paul
