Hi friends,
A friend of mine (he is an ornithologist, but has little knowledge of modern wildlife photography) is planning to build a hide for photographing birds of prey , mainly eagles and vultures (the birds will be attracted with food bites). The question is at what distance to place the hide - usually the closer the better (the closest possible without disturbing the birds of course), but we are wondering if some photographers will prefer more distance, so to use their longest teles and compress the background more? So what`s your opinion, what distance will you prefer personally?
Also it will help to know what more would you want in the hide or some other specific need.
Thank you!
