Can Contax C/Y mounts be adapted to Nikon?

I anticipate that you would lose infinity focus, but what working distance might be expected using the 35-70 3.4 (or other lenses)?

Adapted - no.
Converted - yes.

Leitax does conversion kits for Nikon bodies.

As far as I know, only "some" of the Contax MM mount can be converted with Leitax kit, C/Y mount lenses can't be converted to Nikon F mount. Also there is no adapter solution either.

Okay, thanks.

I have a C/Y 35-70 3.4 that I was wondering if I could use it for 'double duty' with an adapter on Nikon to do some midrange / close / macro work on a Nikon or Fuji.

What about on a Sigma SD14? Are Oly's and C/Y's able to be used with adapters ... or can the mount in the SD 14 be converted to Canon ( I seem to remember something, just not sure what)?

leitax has a converter-solution. losing quality and aperture.
i am thinking about using a yashica 1.6x converter. still unsure what mount at one end. maybe nikon. i dont own a dslr yet.i will send david this adapter to check it out. lens-position can be changed to change ratio. but special level is needed. i have no skills to do the conversion. just prepared it for final conversion.
if i were you i would wait for samsung nx10 or use your zeiss on canon eos. 500d or 7d or 5d mkII, latter has the same mirror-position like old 5d said canon- can someone confirm?

I have the same mirror issues with the 5DII as the 5D.
