Got a wedding on Saturday and my 30D backup camera has just gone down, I doubt I'll have it fixed by next saturday, anyone know a good place to rent a decent camera for about £50?
Could try Calumet for the rental, but they do ask for quite a large deposit. Are there no photographers near you who would be willing to lend you a camera for a day? That's what we did a couple of weeks ago when one of our 5Ds lost the plot.

That would be the ideal solution but the only guy I know who is even vaguely local to me a) shoots Nikon and b) is away this weekend anyway.

You're the person named and shamed above ;-) I think I'm gonna rent a 5D for the day though, then I can "try before buying" as it were.
Named and shamed? I don't think there's any shame going to the dark side, just some heavy breathing. Besides the D3 is awesome and you know it!

Alex
Just because you can shoot at ISO6400 and I can't and your auto white balance actually IS white under all lighting and not just solar.............
why does it not surprise me you guys chat like this on FM too? If you need my 30D this weekend.. it's all yours. If you can make it to London before the shoot!
