p.1 #1 · UK shooters - help?

Hi guys,

Got a wedding on Saturday and my 30D backup camera has just gone down, I doubt I'll have it fixed by next saturday, anyone know a good place to rent a decent camera for about £50?

Ta

Touch wood never had too, but these come highly recommended for hire and repairs

Could try Calumet for the rental, but they do ask for quite a large deposit. Are there no photographers near you who would be willing to lend you a camera for a day? That's what we did a couple of weeks ago when one of our 5Ds lost the plot.

That would be the ideal solution but the only guy I know who is even vaguely local to me a) shoots Nikon and b) is away this weekend anyway.

Thanks for the idea though

You could ask your friendly Alex to borrow his old 30d Would need to reclaim it from a friend but should be possible...

You're the person named and shamed above ;-) I think I'm gonna rent a 5D for the day though, then I can "try before buying" as it were.

Named and shamed? I don't think there's any shame going to the dark side, just some heavy breathing. Besides the D3 is awesome and you know it!

Just because you can shoot at ISO6400 and I can't and your auto white balance actually IS white under all lighting and not just solar.............

I've used these guys before. Not so cheap but a good service.

Because combine our mental ages together and we're halfway to being a mature adult?

Thanks for the offer, I think I'll go with the 5D rental though if the 30D doesn't fix itself by the weekend.
