Need a little help in identifying this guy. Sorry for the poor shot. He was so far up this power wire structure my neck hurts from craning up at him I think its a golden eagle, but I'm not sure. It never left this perch so this was as much as I could get to show you guys. If it is then its my first, and nowhere near as good as Thangs first GE!

Based upon the beak it's a Golden Conrad,

but the head color is off.....

I got him in Alviso in San Jose at Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge Ed. 2nd power tower upon entering the long entrance. Good luck!

Thanks for the info, Conrad. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure . I saw a similar looking bird on Marsh Road the other day. Thought it was a Golden Eagle, but it turned out to be a Dark-Phased Red-Tailed Hawk (see below)

I saw the same dark hawk Ed. I drove up and down disk drive trying to see if he was the GE
