From back in August, I had previously posted a shot of a Ruby Beach sunset. I'll include it here again for progressive reference.
1) Earlier, just after sundown, the colors not yet at peak, but the surf spray doing neat things with the light. 8:28 PM
2) The previous post, near peak color. 8:38 PM
3) A bit later, just before we headed back to the cars. 9:09 PM
Hope you enjoy the sequence. I know we all did.
Thanks.
Just a gorgeous set here I never tire of the views from Ruby truly a special place and you have captured it's beauty so elegantly here, love that soft fleeing light and the last of the colors before darkness. All are fantastic but #2 really stands out for me here. So nicely seen Barry. BTW I betting money that Tim wasn't with you guys with that gorgeous sunset, sorry Tim
I think you were probably right to choose the second as your first choice but i have enjoyed all three and seeing the series adds a different dimension.
Thanks Barry for positing this sequence. I like the soft mist on that first shot but
I am blown away on the last. It always amazes me on how 40 minutes after sunset the
colours can get so intense....

Another thanks from me for taking me back to this amazing trip.
I love the difference in light........... but 2 is the one for me. Awesome light and all the detail still there.
Can we go back NOW?

Beautiful trio, Barry. While the color in the second is great, I favor the less cluttered composition of the first one. The reflection on the water makes a nice line to the background stack.
Holy crap 2 is nuts. Great stuff Barry. Almost tempted to 2:1 it as the very top of the sky is a bit extraneous but hot damn that's sick. I really like the idea of 3 but for some reason my eye wants to bounce all over. Way to be there! :-)
