Excellent capture Thang. It would appear to be a youngster as there is much white still showing in the plumage but surely I can see the hackles gleaming in the light. I would consider it a rare catch as the golden, unlike the bald is a bit on the down slide from the latest mail I receive on our endangered and threatened wildlife so count you blessing and feel good about it all. Good for you.

A Golden Eagle in Irvine - you know everyone's going to want to know where.
