Hello, everyone, and thanks for looking. I'm having a hard time letting go of this lens because I got a good deal on it and it's a stellar performer. But it doesn't really have a place in what I want to shoot now, so I'd rather it go to someone who will use it.
What I've got:
A US date code 70-200 f/2.8L IS with caps, hood, a generic collar, and the fitted Lowepro lens case. It's not going to win any beauty pageants. The body is scuffed and has moderate to severe paint loss around the zoom ring. I don't know how it happened and didn't care when I bought it. The glass is clean. There may be a little dust but it's not anything I noticed and certainly nothing that affects IQ. Very sharp at both ends wide open. I posted one of the first shots I took with it when I got it in July... https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/796555/0#7338521 . And I used it for a couple of weddings this summer. It never let me down. But I'm not event shooting anymore, and I've gotten more interested in alt glass. I know it doesn't have much of a chance of selling with all of the "like new" copies up on the boards, and I noticed a few of our alt shooters switching to AF lenses due to eyesight. So if you've got what I'm looking for and are in the market for a great AF zoom, now's your chance.
I paid 1200 for this July and that seems like fair trade value to me. I'll toss the lens case in for free. If your lens or lenses have higher market value, we can probably work that out with cash.

Edited to add: The hood is also generic. I am including a Hoya Super HMC UV filter (no case- will be shipped mounted), a Hoya Digital Pro circ pol, and an Arca mount foot on the tripod ring.
