p.1 #1 · Frame count software

Can anyone tell me what software to use to see what the frame count is on a camera? I am about to buy a used camera which is suppose to have never been used and I want to put a card in it, shoot an image and then download to my laptop and confirm the low frame count. If it matters, it is a Canon camera and my laptop is a macbook pro.

You cannot see the frame count on any Digital Rebel series cameras from Canon, nor on any x0D series before 40D (i.e. 10D-30D).

So it depends on the exact camera model.

FAQ #0 at astrojargon says it should work but needs a power cycle to update the counter. Did you contact them?

I think that's your only chance.
