Reds and greens look a lot better to me. Not a great picture, but just happened to be one I hadn't "updated" with the new raw converter.

Well... I think in Adobe-speak, a release candidate is a step above "beta." Lightroom 3 is in "beta," which to them means that the catalog changes will not migrate to the "official" or "release candidate" releases.

This version is interoperable with current and future catalogs. Agree that it is not the "final" version.

Aah, I see. Thanks, Ryan. It appears that the release of the final version is immenent, huh? Probably a matter of days, rather than weeks...

My guess would still probably be weeks. But Adobe 3 is likely months away.

sometimes the RC is the final anyway

the last couple RC I downloaded never even updated when the final came out and all the file sizes were the same size and date stamp

i think it is more than days aways

The RC will likely be the final 2.6 version unless there is some devastating issue that gets discovered with the RC (hence the name release candidate ).

Does anyone here know if the improvements to 7D raw processing will make it into the free LR3 beta?
