Pretty girl in a nice setting. Great potential. Aside from cropping out the furniture and lights on the left, I would have liked to have seen her in a wardrobe more in tune with the setting.
I think flowing cloths (robe?) with either complementary or contrasting colors would work. This could be done showing as much or as little skin to suite taste.
Composition isn't all about which objects go where in the picture, its the balance of colour, light and shadow, so.....
the light and furniture are major distractions and one way or another shouldn't be in the shot.
skin tone and stone are very close making separation difficult this leaves a vibrant bra hanging in space (albeit smack on the bottom left thirds intersection) that is fairly evenly flesh/stone coloured.
but I think the major issue I have with this shot is the balance between the subject and background, the architecture is overtaking the picture. Given that you were using flash it might have been nice to have dropped down the background exposure a stop or 2 to allow the girl to really stand out. This might also cure the problem of her sight line running slap into a pillar.
Can't do work on it here, but what about something closer to a square crop removing all but a portion of the nearest column on the LHS? That way the dead space to the left goes - but then she is more centered in the image too - everything has its price
Bob
re-work later - if you object I'll take down...you get the idea of the crop, etc...
I definitely appreciate the advice it is all well taken. You are right that I was focussing on the technical aspects of the com not necessarily the outfit etc but in that insight lies the truth to me improving as well. THanks very much.
The water is too close to her. She looks like she'd be wet to her knees if she was really standing there. The bright background seems a bit overwhelming. And I'm on a laptop so I have to do too much scrolling to see the whole image.

She is wet to her knees!!! Just kidding. Points understood will do a rework tonight. I'd like to try to improve this area of my skill set.
