Not a fun week with the neck and arm, the 500mm is taking it's toll. All the equipment involved just to set up somewhere is a real PIA, lol. I just love walking, so I often hand shoot. But I've learned to consolidate my shots. Even bought binoculars so I don't have to lift the 500 just to look for something.
Staying home more, and guess what!!!! Kites are flying right over my house this week! Sittin' in my yard, hot tea in hand, on tripod...couldn't be better!
I think the Kite roost is spreading out around here to find food.
Also, I got 3 duo aerials this week! Pretty far away, but worth the lift!
Worked on my website also if anyone wants to see it: http://www.ocwildlife.com/
right over my fence---
And heres my duos this week!
Harrier and RT hawk
osprey and RT hawk
Kites at my home, the crows chase...
one last osprey and fish
thnx for looking fellow wildlife lovers!

Incredible work Linda, WTK's in your yard!! Man I'm jealous
You open with some dynamite shots and then BAM!! the duo's, holy hanna those are all sweet Linda and once again you make it impossible to single any of these out Amazing images all Lady Jones and a thrill to view
Thanks Tom, Andy and Morris! I've been a little worried about my MKIII. The saturations have been mighty strange, I desaturated all of these. I hope it's not my mirror or shutter. I recall someone posting a shutter problem with oversaturations.
Awesome job on these Linda.
Great exposure and detail on the Kites and very nice captures on the Duos.
The website is looking good too. Hope your ailments ease up on you enough to enjoy that new glass.
Hey Linda...............................you nailed these Some of the best WTK shots I have seen and just super exposures, oh my you have that figured out perfectly, nice work.
I am blown away at the fine results you have pulled off on the black and white birds against the sky, I'm all ears on exposure tips for what you are doing here, wow!
I'm picking the whole post as one of my favorites, excellent and I enjoyed each one of them greatly!
Very nice set Linda, lucky you to get kites in your backyard. I believe the first two duos are both harriers. The white stripe on the tail and the similar size to each other make me lean that way. Thanks.

Linda -
What a set up. To be able to just kick back in your yard and get shots like these!
I guess you just venture out for the pleasure of our company.

Isn't that something, after hauling the big gear around so much these Kites come home to you! And you are taking them and enjoying a nice cup of tea too. Sounds great!
It's a wonderful set Linda. Super job on the Kites and exposures, I'm waiting to read your comments on the latter. Really enjoyed your duos too. Interesting to see the different shapes and sizes and the interaction. Those crows are not afraid of anything.
