p.1 #1 · Help about an english expression

Hi there!
As you can see, I'm from Brazil. Which expression is correct: making of or making off?
Despite I used to use "making OF", I had seen both version been used in my country and in the US websites, as well.

Thanks in advance,

Pablo Albino

You can use either for two different things

Making of, as in, "Behind the scenes: The making of Bill and Teds excellent adventure", or

Making off, as in "Making off with your best friends wife".

Hi Adrian and Kim! The contex is about the register of the behind of scenes in a photo shoot.

Maybe you are referring to OOF -out of focus- or what is also called "bokeh? The area in front of and behind your sharp plane of focus? Just guessing.

Pablo, the correct phrase for your usage is "Making of"

As in "The making of this photo shoot..."

cwebster,

so it was how I thought and I used to write.
However, It's weird to find the expression "making off" writed in many american photographic websites. Perhaps...typographic mistakes...

Guys, thanks a lot for your time.
