Mac owners are reporting great results running our software on their Intel-based Macs with the help of either VMWare or Parallels. These are two inexpensive third-party tools that enable Windows applications to run on Intel-based Macs.

The software performs just as fast as on a Mac system, and it appears as "just another window on the Mac desktop" (you can run our software and native Mac apps at the same time).

I use it - Indesign just looked too complicated when i started messing around with it when I first started. Fotofusion does everything i need quickly. I also layout blog posts in it.

I have used it and it's ok recently I have started using photojunction remix and really like it. Free now as well. Just throwing out another option

yeah, I was going to ask why people don't know about this. I saw the fotofusion demonstrated 2 weeks ago on a mac and it was just the same. all you need is to use parallel.

I've used it for a few years. I've done more albums this year than any in the past. My couples like it. Other photographers...well...

yeah, I was going to ask why people don't know about this. I saw the fotofusion demonstrated 2 weeks ago on a mac and it was just the same. all you need is to use parallel.
I use FF on a mac running Parallels and it's fine. Full access to the files on my, "mac" side as well. It runs even better in Apple's bootcamp (which is free).

Of course you need to pony up the dough for the Windows OS. You can pick up a copy of XP on ebay.

We have used the Extreme version for a while now. It has really good features, easy workflow and powerful export capabilities.

Caution. There are a few wrinkles still being worked out with Windows 7. I am fully confident they will have them straightened out quickly.

+1 for VMWare. I am a windows user but I have used VMware for 7 years. You would want the VMWare Fussion product, $79. You will also need a copy of Windows. Get XP Pro or Win 7 (Preferably 64 bit but check compatitiblity first. Stay away from home versions). VMWare allows you to run a computer within a computer. When you create a VMWare machine, it will boot with a Bios and a memory space that is seperated from your MacOS. It is indistinguishable from a physical machine.
I use Lumapix and think it is great. Makes albums/collages a snap.
