Late last week I had a few hours in Bosque del Apache -- I entered and left on a dead run because of commitments at work, but for those few hours the switch flipped in the opposite direction and it was great. The sovereign state of MonkeyCountry was quite beautiful, the wildlife was plentiful, and all in all I had a wonderful time. Here are a few...
1) A happy couple
2) Snow geese doin' what they do
3) Yet another post-Impressionist crane scene
Very nice, Mark....and I forgive you for not letting me know you were here
Hey, look who's first!! The guilt must be unbearable now!
Glad to see there was some color left for your IF Snow BG and that last shot is really cool.

Thanks, Will -- I could have called you as I passed near your neighborhood about 2 am but thought better of it. Next time I'll call anyway and let you explain it to Mrs. Monkey.
And many, many thanks for keeping the scenery nice this late in the year!

There is indeed a state of serenity that can be acheived by visiting that magical place and I enjoyed each of these, Mark.

Ken -- yes, it's a special spot. Pretty close to civilization, but still it's quiet and just a good place to be. Apparently our winged friends think so too.

Thanks Karl. As I told Will in a PM I could only pry a few hours out of a whirlwind combined business/family trip, but it was definitely worth it.
