Now, let us see how enterprising some of you lads have been.

What if yet another typo crept into the lens description so that what they realy meant to say was " No internal dust, haze, fungus and condensation" ?

How do we find that out ? Well, from the horse's mouth, I guess.
If so, that lens might be put back in service for an estimated $1,000 (new hood+ AF repair).......that would bring the total lens cost to $3,500, assuming you are the only bidder. Now, where else can you buy a complete, functional, and not too ugly looking 500 f/4 for $3,500 ?

No bids, didn't sell. I was thinking that one of the local FM lens brokers might snatch it up, have it fixed and then list it on B&S for $4,800 or something like that.

My conclusion, after several attempts to get some sense from the 'Adorwin' crew, is that there are some communication problems - on a number of levels.......

As a consumer I must tell you that the Adorwin operation doesn't inspire much confidence. Which is a real pitty, because we, again as consumers, are deprived of a potentially good equipment supply source. Obviously, not good for Adorama's business either.

As a consumer I must tell you that the Adorwin operation doesn't inspire much confidence. Which is a real pity, because we, again as consumers, are deprived of a potentially good equipment supply source. Obviously, not good for Adorama's business either.
