I guess Yakim should remember similarly confusing/questionable Adorama's eBay auctions of 200 f/1.8 a few months ago.

It is a bit surprising our friend Helen Oster has not paid this thread a visit yet.

PetKal - I have no squirrels near my house. I figure either the sound of the .22 gives them a heart attack or the fall kills them.

Now, let us see how enterprising some of you lads have been.

What if yet another typo crept into the lens description so that what they realy meant to say was " No internal dust, haze, fungus and condensation" ?

How do we find that out ? Well, from the horse's mouth, I guess.
If so, that lens might be put back in service for an estimated $1,000 (new hood+ AF repair).......that would bring the total lens cost to $3,500, assuming you are the only bidder. Now, where else can you buy a complete, functional, and not too ugly looking 500 f/4 for $3,500 ?
