That is an American Avocet in non-breeding plummage. Commom out at SJWS and other So Cal wetland locations.

When Ant called it was a classic moment. Dude it was great meeting you and have the chance to shoot two days in a row with you. Time to have a gander at the shots from the weekend and see whats good and whats not. Dude you missed the Osprey the Linda, Quang Josh and I where shooting on the way out of SJWS. Those CWW where in perfect ligh in the early AM. Anyways dude till next time. Happy shooting.

Haha! I'm editing as fast as I can!

and as far as the mandarin I've 7.99 gigs of him too far away and in shadow and 0.01 gigs of decent shots
