I use EOSinfo for my 40D. My understanding was that it would work with any camera Digic 3 or newer, so you could try it. Free to download, and it was great to really know how many clicks my 40D had.
Do you also run DPP on your system? (I do) There could be a conflict. Here is the error message I receive:

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

rather than be handled by this dialog box.
