Hi guys
Have a Canon 5D for sale. Bought from another FMer, looking to upgrade to a Canon 5DmkII.
Literally has at maximum, 15,000 actuations on it. In total, I would put at the very most, 10,000 shots on it. There is, of course, the usual light brassing around the hotshoe. Besides that, its in awesome condition.
I also have two batteries for it (one OEM and one aftermarket).
I also have the box and a copy of the instructions in I think Italian plus the cables and disks.
$1050 US shipped (paypal is on you). I don’t have any further flexibility on price so please don’t ask. If I wish to sell it for less then I will repost it at that lower price.
The only issue with the camera is that the play button acts as the delete button. This issue was once resolved before 6 months ago and had the PCB assembly replaced. It reoccur ed and I have no reason to repair it since I wanna get rid of the camera. Price reflects this issue! (Canon repair for this is $180 fyi) When it was intitally repaired 6 months ago, the mirror mechanism issue with the Canon 5Ds was also replaced. the mirror never fell it, it was just a preventative measure. Besides that, the camera functions perfectly.

it's very honest of you to mention the issue of your 5D (play button). Would it make more sense to fix it prior posting?
technically it would...but then again its a VERY minor issue for which I dont see any reason for an imminent repair..so i decided not too and lowered the price to accommodate.

also to the post above me....just to be clear...the trash button works as the play button, so theres no chance of ever deleting photos on the camera
Im really surprised this camera is still up here....all that you cant do with the photo is use the trash button to delete shots. Besides that, the camera functions perfectly and is in great cosmetic condition.

I'm not suprised at all. What you say in the posts following your origional somewhat contradict. Origionally you wrote:

yet later you say:

So does this mean that if someone presses the play button, the file is deleted, or if someone presses the delete button, the file is saved rather than deleting. Most people are just going to buy a 5d that works if they can't figure out what yours is doing. Take a second and edit your origional post in a way that leaves no question as to whats going on here. I.E. "If the user hits the play button ________ will happen. If the user hits the delete button ________ will happen. "
Take an additional step to post a link to a discussion board that talks about the problem.....maybe post the contact info the canon usa tech services. Post pictures of the camera, post sample shots. If you want to sell this camera SELL it!
