p.1 #1 · What an idiot..until now. | |
As I hang around the Nikon Forum, I thought I'd post this here first.
Up until now I have been living with a problem, as most of us do. How do I change lenses faster and easier when taking them out of my camera bag or backpack.
Well, I am happy to report that I have solved the problem. Being able to change your lens SINGLE-HANDED from just about any camera bag is now a reality.
I am kicking my self for not thinking of this sooner. Every bag manufacturer should too.
So what would one pay for such a solution? $ 10.00, $ 50.00 more?
What if I told you it is quite inexpensive, and easy to do, you could almost do this blind-folded.
So... without futher ado, here it is.
Cut a piece of the Hook side of velcro the diamter of your lens cap. Stick on your lens cap(s). Then place your lens, cap side first into your lens compartment of your bag. Apply a little pressure, and your done.
When you need your lens, simply grab, twist off the cap and extract a perfectly naked lens. Attach to your camera and you are done.
To store simply lower into the spot from whence it came, twist, and you back in storage. If you want to move the lens to another bag, simply pull out the lens, cap and all.

Now, if the bottom or sides of your bag are smooth and won't catch the hooks then use the LOOP side to line the bottom or side. Alternatively, you could mount the loop side on a square pice of plastic and place that on the bottom, if you like.
How simple is this?
